GNS3 0.3 Friday, 28 September 2007

The latest version of GNS3 released in late September, is considered to be a beta version. This version contains many new features with a lot of bugs fixed. Some of the most important features are

  • Support of Ethernet, ATM and Frame-Relay switches.
  • Included hub (Bridge of Dynamips) and cloud (external connections) devices.
  • Added the Dynagen console (nearly all commands supported).
  • New GUI settings.
  • Improved node configurator.
  • Load and save in Dynagen INI-like configuration files.
  • Multi-language support.
In this release the we see the official name has been changed to GNS3 instead of GNS-3.

GNS-3 Alpha 0.2 Sunday, 29 July 2007

This release was considered to be an experimental version. Some of the improvements were:

  • A automatic load-balancing of the IOS process to address the per process limit problem.
  • A new node configurator which allow the configuration of multiple nodes in one step.
  • A rewriting of the core which should improve the global performances and help to the extension of the application.
